The Righteous One, known as "Yimin" in Taiwan, honors the brave heroes who sacrificed during civil wars. Originating from the Chien Long era, Emperor Chien-Long rewarded loyalty to those who aided in suppressing the war. The Yimin belief spread across Taiwan, offering sacrifices to gods and ancestors who fought in the Yi-Mo War against Japan. This music draws inspiration from the loyalty of people during the Yi-Mo War, depicting war scenes and the unwavering spirit of loyalty in adversity. Composed by Mitch Lin for concert band, bamboo flute, er-hu, suona horn, piano, and Chinese percussion instruments.
